Ok, I know I've read a ton on this and why it shouldn't be done. However I'm a cheap guy and always looking for DIY or affordable options. So who uses aqua lifters for dosing two parts and what are your success stories? Like I said I already know the neg side, are there positives to making them work?

Guilty.

I used my ATO to dose baking soda for alk for a long time. I recently added a BRS dosing pump and was using it to dose calcium. I switched the dosing pump to dose alk and the calcium is dosed through my ATO with an aqualifter pump. Params have been locked in since.

I won't use it to dose alk anymore. Too much parameter swing with alk but with calcium it works fine.

IMO DONT DO IT!!!

I use one of those pumps on my kalk stirrer, and have replaced 3 within a year. My next investment will be a quality dosing pump (note to self)
