Thanks, my lfs owner said he bought it as a favia but looked like a doughnut to him and other forums said it was an acan so I wanted to make sure.

It kinda looks like a lobophyllia. Maybe you'll just have to wait and see how it grows to get an answer. One single polyp can look like so many different things depending on the lighting/params/flow in your tank.
