SCIENTIFIC NAME - Doryrhamphus dactyllophorus

COMMON NAME - Dragon Pipefish

SIZE - 7.9" (20 cm)

MIN. AQUARIUM SIZE - 20 US Gal. (76 L)

FOODS AND FEEDING - Vitamin enriched live Brine shrimp, live or frozen Mysid shrimp, feed several times a day.

REEF COMPATIBILITY - Do not keep with corals or Anemones that have potent stinging tentacles.

CAPTIVE CARE - Provide suitable shelter sites, overhangs or caves, keep with non-aggressive tank mates. Typically will feed on live food only, switch to frozen Mysid shrimp once acclimated, as an alternative feed live Brine shrimp that have been vitamin enriched. Can be kept singly, in pairs and in small groups.
 




You would not think of pipefish as very goofy, but mine sure are! Right now they solely eat tisbe pods thanks to nutramar ova not being available. But they are doing very well!
 
When I build my frag tank, this fish is going in it. Will be mostly acros so redbug control is impirtant
