Dragon TAIL torch?!?!?

I was at petco looking at frags. They have something labeled a Dragons Tail Torch. It looks like a Duncan with frogspawn tentacles.

Google gives me nothing.

Is there something else that fits this description under a different name?

I did not get a photo, but I will own it Friday when I get paid if it's still there.

Never heart of it unless it's some unique naming. If it looks like a duncan it's probably a duncan.

I can assure you, it is NOT a duncan. Each tentacle has 3, 4, 5 tips!!!

Could it be a cristata? I’m not entirely sure maybe others do know what this coral is. If you do buy it, post a picture!

I'm looking at pics of that, and I'll say no. This has a disctinctive disc with a mouth in the center. And then frogspawn tentacles around the perimeter. I'm so tempted to go and put it on the CC but I'm trying to be responsible here lol

I can assure you, it is NOT a duncan. Each tentacle has 3, 4, 5 tips!!!

I'd honestly need to see a picture, and even then I might be making a WAG.

Could easily be a torch that has popped extra nubs on the tents. Some say this is a stress response, some say it's from Massively excessive nutrients. I've had torches that would pop extras.

What about it being a unhealthy or stressed frogspawn causing shorter tentacles? Frogspawn have mouths. We just don't usually see them easily but if it's not in good health (hi petco) then it could have shorter tentacles and look odd.

Note that people overpay Petco for BTA's that are neon bright or cool pastel colors but they are just bleached nem's due to Petco's poor lighting.
