So I have a dragon wrasse that really likes the over flow. I have found him in the overflow 2 times and 1 time in the filter sock. What's the best way to keep him from getting in there? Little screen over the over flow?

At the store we have egg crate with plastic gutter guard cut to fit inside the overflow right at the teeth. It keeps the fish from going down into the sump and most times the ones to attempt the jump flop back into the water. There is the rare casualty, but it's an idea I felt would be worth sharing.

1/4" screen top will work.

Screens on top of overflows work great. Until a fish jumps on top of it and gets stuck there. If you use the screen be sure to fill whatever space is left between the overflow screen and the tank cover. I use 1" styrofoam.

If you have a canopy, "extending" the height of the overflow walls vertically can be a good option.

Otherwise, I've used an ABS cover in the past.

He is swimming through the slits in the over flow

Well, that presents a more difficult challenge, as adding screens there presents the risk of clogging and then the tank overflowing.
Any solution here will require you to keep an eye on it, and keep it clear of obstructions or algae.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking. He loves the overflow. He even made it into the filter sock the other day. Lol luckly I noticed he was gone. Lol
