why not do what I do - small beverage container/tiny tank that just grows/cultures copods for main tank - my method derived from this post:

Here is yesterday lunch pod portion moved from tiny tank (just 1 - I have 3) supporting my main tank

I feed, breakfast lunch and dinner pods from tiny tanks into main tank every day for mandarins (and everyone else... because I can't stop everyone else lol) I feed spirulina powder with some live phyto when I can buy it, and I use painters tape to tell when I need to top off with RODI water because of evaporation
