We all know that dragon eels are some of the most stunning predators out there, so I implore you to show us your favorite pics of these amazing animals.

(Also, I do have a small question about them as I would like to keep them in the future: Would a 125g work for just one specimen in a species only tank?)

Yeah! As long as it isnt thst very large african dragon thats like 4-5 feet but those are rare in the hobby anyway.

This is my dragon Ivar! He is a jeweled moray, but some call them Mexican dragon eels. And Ghost of course, she loves to be in pictures

Here’s my guy, Yoshi. He’s in a mixed reef 310g. I got him at around 10”, and he’s now at least 24”. He doesn’t bother any fish, but I’m not trying to stock anything smaller than about 3”. I have a leopard that’s a few years old in there that he doesn’t pay any mind too (knock on wood)

I consider all members of Enchelycore and Enchelynassa canina dragon morays but @Macropharyngodon may just be referring to the Japanese jewel, E pardalis? Anyway, I've seen Enchelynassa canina in the wild and they are probably the most evil looking fish? Like, they'd be a Disney villains familiar.

Generally I have heard a ton of people say that they do well with tank mates so long as they are well fed. (fingers crossed for you) How difficult was he to acclimate? I have heard that they are hardy, and I was considering getting one for my first large tank (hopefully a 125) and was curious, because they do cost a lot lol. But I am willing to invest cause they live a long time, and really are stunning. Just don't want to kill one obviously.

Wicked! Very cool. Hard to believe that’s real life and not flotsam and jetsam… also just found out those words have meaning. Learning something here

This guy was in a four foot 90, never bothered any tank mates but was well fed. Had another one in a 150 that took a chunk out of a Red Corris

I have heard that they are hardy, and I was considering getting one for my first large tank (hopefully a 125) and was curious, because they do cost a lot lol. But I am willing to invest cause they live a long time, and really are stunning. Just don't want to kill one obviously.

I waited until I could find a tiny one just to give it the best chance of doing well in a reef tank. I figured a full grown captured one would be pretty used to eating anything that moves lol. So far so good.

Super easy to acclimate, he was eating within about 10 minutes. I had a snowflake prior to him and found them both to be pretty bullet-proof.
