90 gallon with 2 1 inch bottom drilled drains. If I turn the return pump over 300 gallons an hour it makes a lot of sucking noise. So is the 300 enough. Right now I have 2 hygarr 10 watt wave maker on top at ends of tank and 2 small no name power heads lower in the back. There seems to be water flow on all sides. Is there anything I can do to kill some of the sucking noise.

Are you running it as a Herbie setting the flow to a siphon?

They drop out the bottom and run 2 ft then 45 thru the wall then slopes 6 in for 2 ft into sump. Pipes in the drain are staggered about 1/2 in.
