I think its amazing! You are brave for building your own frag tanks and sump! I would be scared to to that.

Hi jordan,
Thanks for your support, actually if we know the method, it's not that hard to build glass tank, all you need a little bit of patient and a good grade silicone glue.

For a smaller tank i think its quiet easy to build one.

Best regards,
Irsan

very nice build for sure, one question why did you use valve unions on the drains? they will reduce the size of the drain pipe by at least 30%

Hi WWC, yes i believed that valve union will reduce the size of the drain, and restrict water movement. But i used them because for a reasons.

1. It give me control to adjust the water height inside my overflow box.
2. Ease of maintenance or dismantling incase of plumbing modification.
3. In the past i had used them without any problem, the can handle hammerhead gold gph without any issue.

Hope this helps,

Irsan

Thanks kody72, actually there's no particular reason, i had a leftover couples of clear silicon glue, so i decided to just use it, it think both black or clear are almost the same. They both do the job well.

Happy reefing,
Irsan

Great looking tank. It looks like you are off to a fantastic start. This is the kind of tank I hope to have someday. By the easy, what kind of fish are you planning on keeping?
