Driftwood tank?

Has anyone here attempted to do a driftwood centered reef tank? Or a brackish tank to mimic mangrove roots? If so how did it work out long term, and did you experience any issues with the driftwood releasing tannins into the water?

personally I don't have any experience with this but you gave me the idea to do one with my empty 5g tall

Yess this was my plan all along lol, but in all seriousness if you do setup a driftwood nano tank please make a thread to document the journey!

if I do I definitely will, it will give me something to do with the odd shape of my 5g which is marineland portrait, I figure it would be perfect for driftwood and a mangrove or two
