How often do you feed your fish/corals? Are you manually dosing? How often on the WC's and with what salt? Sorry for the barrage of questions
No worries bro, that is what we are here for.
* I feed the fish once a day- I am feeding H20 Life Marine Fusion and I also feed live black worms every day
* I spot feed the corals 2-3 times a week with oyester eggs and phyto feast (just a little bit), and the main ingredient is coral frenzy powder
* In my 60 gallon total volume system I was having to dose 30 mils of B-ionic per day. If you figure that out, that is a 1 dkh swing per day and the corals were not happy due to the swing in parameters in such a short amount of time. I ended up hooking up a Korallin C1502 Calcium Reactor with both calcium and magnesium in it. Since it is on such a small system and I have it dripping pretty fast, I ended up putting the dripper right before the refugium so the cheato will soak up excess C02. By doing this it helps keep my PH right at 8-8.3.
* I have been a die hard user of Tropic Marin Pro Reef since i got back into the hobby 5-6 years ago. I have tried other salts and always end up going back it. I am doing 10 gallon water changes per week. I test right when I add the water and dose accordingly to get the parameters where i want them. The calcium reactor holds those parameters till the next water change.
