Dull montipora digitata

Recently I fragged an orange digitata from my parents’ tank and added it to my tank. It is much less colorful in my tank and doesn’t seem to be extending its polyps as much as it was in my parents’ tank. It is like 5 or 6 inches below my fluval sea 3.0 light, which isn’t very powerful but it is supporting other corals fine including a monti cap 10 inches below the light. Could this be an issue of too much light? Or not enough nutrients? Water parameters are as follows.

pH: 8.1
Nitrite: 0
Nitrate: 5
Ammonia: 0
Calcium: 400
KH: 143 (8 dkh)
Phosphate: 0.05

Calcium could be a bit higher but don't see anything too off about your params, how long ago did you frag it?

It takes time for frags to adjust to the new environment. They don’t look bad in the picture.

Fragged it last week, also fragged a hydnophora and birds nest which both seem fine. How long should it normally take to fully adjust?

As KrisReef said they don't look too bad I would wait a bit longer and see what happens

I would give it time. After something is fragged and introduced takes a while for it to come back. Just let it be.

I will, thanks. I was just a little concerned because the other corals i fragged recovered much faster but I’m still relatively new to fragging so I guess I overreacted.
