With the Ranco controller do you just stick the probe in the water? Or do you put it in a bag? Just that it doesn't look all that well insulated, I know a lot of people use it so I thought I would ask.

The other thread is completely wrong!LOL I don't know how I ended up with 2 posts. The funny thing is the answers are different. I ended up going with the 3/8 clear shrink tubing they recommend on the other post.

If you went heat shrink route, you can heat up the end of the length of tube you're using and crimp it with a pair of needle nose pliers to create the bottom seal. Then just place on the end and heat it from the sealed end up.Thank you! I guess it wasn't a dumb question after all.![]()
