The stock fluval light should be okay for softies and some LPS, but who knows what kind of light the hammer and duncan were originally under. Could be a dramatic drop off in PAR that is making them unhappy.I'd say parameters issues given the algae going on. Also not sure of the lighting being used.
I didn't mean to make it seam like they weren't good enough. Just that I don't know. I think it's a parameter issue or flow. The stock fluval light should be okay for softies and some LPS, but who knows what kind of light the hammer and duncan were originally under. No I get it, I was just pointing out that they were okay. Personally I would never use them, that’s for sure, but *technically* they should be okay for some lps and softies, but like I said who knows. I think it would really depend on the individual coral to be honest.I didn't mean to make it seam like they weren't good enough. Just that I don't know. I think it's a parameter issue or flow.
What are your water parameters?
Have 18 extra watts of attinic strips, my bta is doing great, and other corals such as a small birdsnest its just the euphila and duncanThe stock fluval light should be okay for softies and some LPS, but who knows what kind of light the hammer and duncan were originally under. 15ppm nitrate!!Nitrite 0 nitrate 15ppm salinity 10.24

Thought that was okay since the goal is under 25ppm, maybe I am wrong i will research that15ppm nitrate!!
453 nm deep attinic 9w strips by 21ledusa.com other people such as this person https://www.nano-reef.com/forums/topic/417552-fluval-evo-135-somewhat-budget-first-reef/ use themWhat kind of actinic strips are they? A lot of them are just designed to make the coral tissue “pop” in color, or fluoresce. All I’m saying is that BTA demand high PAR, lots of light.
Okay, I did a 3.5 gall water change earlier so I'll test when I get home15ppm is a bit high, but it’s not alarming. Most people I would say aim for 5-10ppm, give or take. If the duncan and hammer came from a low nutrient system, it could be possible that they are irritated by the higher nitrates.
Okay, when I get home ill test alkThat amount of nitrate is nothing to worry about. I keep mine between 10 and 20 on purpose. I'd be more concerned about alkalinity.
All of the parameters would be best. Might as well check em all lolOkay, when I get home ill test alk
I need a alk and calc tests, haven't bought them yet as im to young to have a job legally, I make money when I can and my tank is fully funded by meAll of the parameters would be best. Might as well check em all lol
Other than that moderate, INDIRECT flow.
