ok so i bought some new frags at fragtoberfest in connecticut. i bought a 3 headed Ducan and a Torch Coral. i placed the torch upstream in the sand next to the duncan but not to close. one of my emerald crabs knocked the torch into the duncan and this was the result pic below:

1 head got messed up but the other big one was fine and so was the new baby polyp.

Question is will this recover or is it past that point. And what happens are the other heads going to be okay or will this effect the other two?

Yup...should recover. I always do a dip in melafix if I'm worried about infection.
That stuff has worked miracles for me.

Really you guys think it will recover? What does it just repair it's own flesh? Would be nice to see it recover. Should I dip or just wait it out?

All i had was CoralRx so i gave it a 5 minute dip. one piece is hanging off the coral. Does that piece fall off or does it just add tissue and mend itself back together.
I guess we'll find out.

I guess we'll find out.
It is now separating and a piece of flesh is ready to fall off. It is hard to tell there is a piece still intact, wondering if that piece will form a new head or if it will all just die off. here is a pic.

well it is definitely coming apart that one head but just a little of the skirt is left and extended, weird. Do i leave it in there until it completely falls off or do i stress the coral out by taking it back out of the water and removing it myself?
