About 2 weeks ago I bought 2 different torch corals from wwc and they both have been dojng amazing sense with no problems and today I got home and realized that my torch was almost peeling away from the skeleton. I did some research and decided to move it because I thought maybe the flow was too much even though it was placed right beside 2 other torch’s which were doing amazing. When I moved it I messed up and knocked off all the lose parts of my torch and now there is only a little bit left. Here are some pictures of the coral before and after I messed it up.

Are those parameters stable every day ? What have you changed in your tank lately ?
Yeah they are very stable at least they have been for the last 2 months. The only thing I have changed is I started doing 4 ml of ab+ from 2 ml a day. The only thing I could think maybe was it got blasted for just a few seconds when I was fixing my wave maker yesterday.

That’s very possible. Mine got probably caught in small syphon last week and it’s starting to recover. It wasn’t half as bad as yours though. I left mine alone, making sure alk was stable and testing everyday and it’s recovering.

Okay did you have any tips for recovery or just leave it alone?

Just leave it alone, don’t change anything unless it’s an absolutely necessary. I’m just monitoring my alk everyday and adjusting my dosage to keep it on point if necessary. But that’s just if it was doing fine before.

Leave and hope for the best. I have had torches look completely dead and grew new heads. I began collecting some from local fish stores that appear dead, take them home and see if they grow new heads. I had it work a couple time and have a couple new torches that did not cost me
