Hi, recently I realized my duncan had been receding, but didn’t think too much of it because I just got a new powerhead. Then about 30 minutes ago, I realized it was spewing a dark brown/black mucus and realized a larger lesion/infection on it. I just finished dipping it in Seachem coral dip for about 30 minutes using the dosing instructions on the bottle. How often should I be dosing it now. I should also note that right now I do not have/ cannot get a quarantine tank for it, and am keeping it in my main display tank (25g Waterbox peninsula).

This is one coral I rarely dip as they stress easily
Assure not too much flow, phosphates not elevated and feed them mysis shrimp 2x a week

Okay yeah I’m thinking it’s the flow, I had a fluval sea powerhead for a little over a year but finally replaced it with the smallest gyro Hygger makes. The flow is a little high even on the lowest settings, but I didn’t think it would harm them because none of my other corals are reacting poorly. If it keeps sliming or the lesions become worse should I just call it on the Duncan before it wreaks damage to the rest of the tank.

Get it to an area with lower flow rate and keep an eye on it
