Duncan has this red striations starting at flesh base and moving up.

Trying to make sure its not brown jelly so I can get it out if it is.

Doesn’t smell, doesnt move if hit with turkey baster. Has been semi closed for a while, i thought because of new head growth. Fully closed becuase i was messing with it to get pics.

Discoloration only on one side.

I don't know what the red is, but the coral is dying, and I don't think that red has anything to do with it. Maybe want to check your water parameters, something might be off.

Checked parameters after your post.

Phosphates somewhere between .03 and .1 Salfiert Test colors aren’t that easy to dechipher.
nitrates: .10 API .10-.25 Salfiert
PH: 8.4
Alk 8.6 the day before I will check again at normal mid day time tomorrow.
Cal was 420 the day before.

I had some Alk swings through late summer and some PH drop but have had it stabilized for a month. Had some torch coral recession but seemed to have halted after stabization.

SPS growing well. 4 types of monti growing steadily. Hammer branching. Leathers growing.

I do have a Octospawn within about 3.5 inches of the duncan. Wonder if there is a night sweeper or something.

Also the flesh has always been this high up on the base since I got it in the spring. It was one head. After forming the 5 new heads it never opening all the way up again. I may need to feed more as well?

Coralrx dip?
