Duncan emergency.

So I just got a Duncan frag a few days ago and today I noticed that the geen flesh seems to be dying off.

does anyone have any idea what’s going on here and if I can save it? I was thinking of dipping with some seachem reef dip.

Gonna have to give me a bit. Last time I tested was the 22nd and I have a puppy harassing me for attention.

Ph- 7.9
Alkalinity- 8.5 dkh
Calcium- 457 ppm
Nitrates- 25.1 ppm
Phosphates- .07 ppm

keep in mind this is before my weekly water change… which I will be doing momentarily

Nitrates are a little high but I know duncans are pretty hearty and can typically tolerate higher nutrient levels. Do you have anything in the tank that might be picking at, maybe a bicolor blenny or a rogue shrimp?

Haven’t seen anything picking at it. both my Midas blenny and my cleaner shrimp tend to stay in their respective hole/caves.
And none of my hermit crabs have been seen climbing on it

Light level? Could be burning on top? The left polyp is still closed up tight after 2days so it’s not happy about something. Was it shipped? Could have gotten damaged across the top and outside edges if it was rubbing or bouncing around a bag.

the other spot on the back right looks like some brown which isn’t good :(

Yeah I got it from worldwide corals. It probably wasn’t bouncing around too badly or rubbing at all. WWC pokes a hole in one of those little condiment containers and the frag plug is pushed into that so it has a bit of a guard.As for light, the last time I measured that area it was somewhere between 50~70 par.
