Duncan isn’t looking so hot...

Hey guys, wondering if anyone can help
Me figure out what’s going on with my Duncan. I’ve had it for about a year now and it has always looked great. Until about 2 weeks ago I noticed on of the heads had melted off. I didn’t think anything of it but now We’re at the point that about 4 heads of the same branch have fallen off. Anybody know what’s going on. They appear to be growing cyano on them now for some reason. The coral has never changed locations. I have cut back on my feedings significantly and almost never spot feed anymore due to just being busy. Honestly I’m not sure was my calc,alk and mag levels are...sorry!! But if possible I’d rather not go cutting branches off as I do not want to make matters worse. Thanks!! P.S it typically looks much happier and open but this pic was taken early this morning with lights off.

May be BJD if you see cyano type bacteria - if that is the case cut it off and throw it out ASAP!

Eh, I considered that but don’t think it’s brown jelly, no brown substance of any kind is visible and hasn’t been since this has started. I’ll continue to be on the lookout for that though

Kinda hard to give advice if we don't know the water chemistry. Proper ranges or levels of salinity, ALK, NO3, PO4 are essential for maintaining stony corals. My favorite test kits are:

Salinity: a quality refractometer -- VeeGee is my favorite.
ALK: salifert
NO3: NYOS
PO4: Hanna ULR Phosphate

Update: what do you guys think? Should I pull it? I fed it reed roids last night and it’s a little agitated and now opening. What do you think. You can see in the pic the heads I have lost....

Nitrates?
Phosphates?

If you are not measuring these at all, I would recommend going fish only for a while.

What other corals do you have and how are they doing?
