Duncan seems to be puckering ?

Just added a new water jet to improve water flow and it started doing this weird puckering thing. Im assuming its a bit too much flow but the other duncan doesnt seem to mind and the rest of the duncan are starting to pop back out.

The Duncan's on the right were recently moved so they're hiding a bit a still. Extra pictures to show the way the water is making then move. Video isnt being uploaded for some reason.

Forgot to add, tank has 1 built in filter and I added a Nano30. Protien skimmer. There are 5 astrea snails and 6 hermits and 2 clown fish and 5 duncan total.

Been cycled 6 weeks. Introduced the coral a few days ago and they were looking good. The rock is a but new though compared to the rest of the tank.

If flow is not directly hitting them , they should be fine. Looks like you're having a lot of air bubbles , that also doesn't help. Besides that , aquarium is brand new, so it's a hard environment for them to adapt to.

Air bubble are coming from the skimmer sadly. Don't have the funds or skill to set up a proper sump.

If the skimmer is too new that can be normal until it breaks in, set it to the lowest speed also. Normal skimmer operation will not leak bubbles .

Should I drop it to the lowest even if it won't really skim anything ? Setting it to 1 will have the bubbles maybe an inch above the water line in the tube

I have a couple thoughts.
1. why is the sg so high? 1.029 is high 1.024-1.027 should be the range.
2. the tank is very new you dont need the skimmer running yet.
Other than that feed them Duncans love to eat and with little nutrients available in the water they will need to.

The 1.029 comes from the purchased water. I didnt want to risk mixing my own water using tap water and it having elements i didnt account for. I will add some distilled water during my next water change instead of topping it off with the same water but is it better to get the parameters of the distilled water similar to my tanks in terms of nutrients and dKH? Or should I level everything out after adding to the tank.

What do you recommend i feed them? And im assuming they'll close up for a whole after?

Dont top off with saltwater! Thats why it so high. Top off with freshwater only. The salt does not evaporate with the water. Yes use distilled or ro/di water. If your lfs sells salt water they sell ro/di water too, use that.

Well the good news is my Duncan is back to normal. I ended up shutting off the extra water fan and it seems to be in good spirits again. I will work on the Salinity

Well the good news is my Duncan is back to normal. I ended up shutting off the extra water fan and it seems to be in good spirits again. I will work on the Salinity

Its possible it was just getting ready to expel waste.
