My Duncans plugs were doing great, growing new heads and all of a sudden they closed up and one of the big heads literally fell off? One of the three seems to be slowly detaching as well and the other ones are all closed up for a few days now. anyone experience this?

Water is stable parameters, and I just did a a water change to see if that helps...everything else in tank is status quo...corals look great, fish look great...

Something has to be wrong with parameters or something in tank is not right. My Duncan’s are moody and will close for days and be fine for long periods after, right now mine is growing a new head and having a very emotional time, but for a head to fall of sounds like it’s dying.

These do best under moderate light and water flow.
Any changes in water flow ? Have you been feeding them?
Also low calcium below 380 may cause weakness causing bailout. If light too low, production of zooxanthellae will be reduced.
