I'm presently making over my sump. My 110 gallons has dual durso overflows. What are the pros and cons on durso vs. herbie.

thanks,
Jose

I'm a big fan of the herbie. Used it on my last 3 tanks. Just use a gate valve to dial it in to match your return volume and it's totally silent.

I'm a herbie fan too. They are dead silent and they have a backup drain. The next evolution of it is a bean-animal which has 2 backups. If you have dual overflows, you can use a bean-animal.

I've run both and definitely prefer Herbie. Very quiet. Make sure the end of your syphon drain is submerged in the sump. That will help get the syphon going quickly.

My next tank will be Bean Animal though. Extra measure of safety.
