Dwarf Angels in prop tank...

Starting up a system with softies, LPS and eventually SPS. Checking to see if Dwarf Angels are coral safe? I've read of Lemonpeels pecking at coral. I'm probably looking at a Flame Angel. Any info would be great. Also any other suggestions on other good, safe Dwarf Angels in a coral tank would be appreciated...along with pictures. Thanks

most dwarfs are 50/50 , my flame was nipping at some of my sps and causing them not to open during the day. he is gone now, the sps that did not open when he was there are now opening durning the day.

We had a flame in our DT that bagan randomly nipping at our acans. It was a nightmare getting him out. As much as we would love to a dwarf angel in the tank we have agreed not to. Just our expierience. Good luck.

no dwarf is completely safe
in a frag tank, should only put fish that has a purpose

Fish with a purpose in a frag tank is best - something like a cteno tang.

I have a cherub angel that seems to be good with corals. if you do add one add it last. New fish have to go through initiation beatings after he was added. I have a pic of him next to some stardust ppe zoas in my album.

I went through that with a Coral Bueaty.

What my old tank sprung a leak I finally got it out
and It got donated to the local Zoo.

Angelfish are not frag tank fish in any sense.

I'd never put such a risky fish in a prop tank. If ANYTHING, something utilitarian like a tank.

Lined wrasse, larger dottybacks, bod-hogfish and longnose hawkfish are good frag tank fish. All listed will eradicate pests and critters from corals. If you are doing a SPS frag tank with larger colonies, look into a larger wrasse.

Thanks for the feedback. I figured but couldn't hurt to ask and hear of others experience. I'll have the usual clean-up crew. A Wrasse or two, Blenny and probably a pair of Clowns just for fun.
