Got a question.., what would you say the cost of a colony of about 800+ polyps of Eagle eye zoanthids cost? What’s the average price and what’s a goood good price? Any help would be great

Welcome to reef2reef !!!!!
You are better off fragging the colony and selling the frags

Ok but what would be the cost of the entire colony. Need help on price please

Price is subjective to the buyer. Eagle eyes are pretty common and selling a colony that large, you'll have to find someone wanting it. I agree with fragging the colony. Personally I wouldn't pay over 200.

So you wouldn’t pay more then 200 for this? Just to be clear

I would pay 150 max. But that’s just maybe just cheapo me. Eagle eyes tend to be very fast growers so large colonies don’t rise exponentially like other corals.

Correct. It's a common zoa that grows quickly. It's nice and we had colonies. To be honest I wouldn't buy a frag as it's not a zoa I desire but I'm sure there are plenty of people that would love it. Good job on growing a nice colony.

Beautiful looking coral.

I agree too on fragging if you want the most money for it. For example, if I am guessing you likely have 300+ polyps on that coral. If you make 60 5 polyp frags and sell them for $10 a piece, you have $600 minus the cost of plugs and the time it'll take to do so. You'll find a lot more people looking to spend $10 on a frag than a full colony.

I'll take one if you are near Chicago! :)
