Ease of access for apex

got a full apex setup from a buddy of mine and am going to be setting it up on my new waterbox 220.6

Ive see alot of conrtol boards/ cabinets where all the modules/ power bars are visible is this actually necessary are is it just to show off the goods?

Id plan on having them accessible but if im not needing to touch them once setup id just assume have them out of the way and less clutter to deal with

I rarely ever need to physically touch my Apex or modules, so having them tucked away is no problem. Just be sure in the event you need to troubleshoot something that it's not impossible to reach it. Also consider any time you might need to disconnect a piece of equipment for cleaning or replacement (like pumps), the way you have cables routed and connected can be the difference between a 1 minute job or an hour long job.

Im planning on making like a pull out trash can style system where the control board is on the front and the electronics are all behind it makebe some rooms for shelfs of things i need just figure the less clutter on the face the better for me

Depends a bit on the module. I have modules like the WXM tucked away because i haven't had to touch it for years. Others, like the FFM, are better left accessible if (like me) you are always swapping out the various sensors. i think many of the fancy, neat mounting boards are either vanity or OCD (especially if plumbing is color coordinated and perfectly parallel LOL).
