I’m trying to troubleshoot an issue where my third EB, an EB8, isn’t recognized by my Apex A3. When I connect the Aquabus cable not only is it not recognizing it as a new module but it also flags the other EB8 as “disconnected” at the same time.
It’s almost as if the Apex thinks they are the same? I can have either one connected and Apex assigns it to Aquabus address 7 but, if I try both, then problem is as described above. It doesn’t seem to matter the order I connect them. I’ve tried restarting everything but no luck.
I tried different cables thinking one is bad but result is always the same.

Delete them both from modules. Then connect one at a time. If problem persists, the EB8 might be faulty.

A friend had the same exact issue with an older EB8 and the apex A3. I took it home to my older OG apex(they call it the classic now?). Not only did my system automatically recognize it, it needed a firmware update.

Long story short, I did the firmware update, and his A3 apex now recognizes it.
