Just made this for my MP40qd on the back wall of my tank. Who else out there has modified the direction of water flow on the ecotech vortech?

I like this idea and have had a few people ask about something like it.

I'll have to adapt this for the anemone guards I make for the 10/40/60

Would honestly be pretty easy. I have an MP10 as well in my fuge but haven't needed to redirect the flow. I literally conceived and had this thing printed in an afternoon. Works great

I need one of these for my MP40

Hooray for google translate :)

I planned to update the design since i've learned a lot about 3D design/printing in the last few years, but this will work fine in the current incarnation.

See now this is something I need for mine. I have a corner bowfront tank. And the map points front and at the center of the glass. It would be nice to redirect it across the reef.

I may mess around with the design tomorrow. I've been wanting to make the dome two pieces to redirect the flow as much, or little, as i want while it's in the tank. I did mess around and create something that splits the flow that worked well too, harder to print, though.

@mbertalha asked about splitting the model into two, and it gave me some inspiration. Version 2.0 is two pieces that just needs a bit of superglue. There are 3 choices of nozzles, 30, 45 and 60 degrees. I also made the clip ring thicker to make it more sturdy.

The support structure is for the snaps to attach to the pump itself. The notches for the nozzle to align with the snap ring require no supports.

just search for it on youtube. I can't access the site from Malaysia either (always cracks me up how people think they're being extra secure by blocking Asia; but it is SUPER annoying)
