They live in freshwater/brackish waters and they aren’t beginner species. I donated mine and advice u not to buy it as they live in freshwater when young and that's a problem. Mine was about to die in full saltwater and then I donated mine back to lfs for free. Some say they live in full saltwater I don't know about that

I think Colour pattern is like Gymnothorax tile. See what other's say as I hv kept only 3 eels in my tanks so far as I always mess with them.

They seem to be quite similar to each other and also mistaken for eachother, they both grow to about the same size but, the key c to identifying them is to see if they have gold like dust spots on them, for example, here's a gymnothorax tile, which is more brighter when young and then goes full gray/mud like colour when fully grown, whilest the gray faced moray, has a distinctive white glowing eyes, though the video is not clear and it's a bit hard to say, in my opinion it looks to be a grayfaced moray/white eyed moray gymnothorax thyrsoideus
