I have 1000 gallons of marine aquariums and experience shocks ranging from a tingle to an all out shock often. 2 culprits are spray from lose power head tubing while removing water or an out of control sump pump. Combined with the ever so small scratch, pin prick, thorn needle prick or even just handling rough live rock can compromise your fingertip response to stray electric voltage. And if the floor is salt water wet even the best rubber clogs won't help out much.I sporadically get slight tingle in my finger when I put it in my tank. I can mostly feel it when I have a small cut or crack in my skin.
Its not all the time and I'm struggling to find exactly what its coming from. It seems to go away after the initially touch in the water.
Is there a senses on whether or not this is even a concern? Doesn't seem to bother anything.
