I saw this one at LFS selling for $150. LFS said it is an Elegance. I could not find any information about this color, pink and burgundy.

Does anyone know is the name of this Elegance?

It's hard to say. It seems they just randomly come up with names for different variations. I just bought one that is called a purple tipped monsoon. They are all so beautiful. Good luck with him.

As far as I know elegance corals do not have any well known trade names like other corals. Some vendors have strains with specific names they use, but elegance just aren't popular enough to have those names really take off, I think.

As stated earlier, the scientific name of elegance is Catalaphyllia jardinei. They come from aussie, indo, and some are aqua-cultured. There are different variants like other similar LPS (they are related to torch, forgspawn, hammer) but like euphyllia fimbriaphyllia, Catalaphyllia jardine aka the elegance coral can exhibit different color variants based on genetics.

^ here is a black/gold variant, looks like the one you shared. most common color is green, pink tips, blue tips, yellow tips.

So in this instance, monsoon is the name of the aquaculture facility (https://monsoonaquatics.com.au/). The AquaSD elegance were grown by monsoon. The purple tip refers to the traits it has.
