Elegance footprint

Planning out the sand bed space on the upgrade. Sand bed space in my current IM Nuvo 40L AIO is nonexistent. The display dimensions are 35" x ~15":

The new tank dimensions are going to be 47"x19" (counting glass). So that's a decent 4 more inches of width and a good amount of length (another rock island will be added though).

What would be an ideal patch of sand bed for keeping an elegance? Would 5"x5" work or is that too small?

An area with lower flow and medium light. I usually put mine next to a corner of the tank on the sand bed.
