A buddy of mine bought an elegance coral a little bit ago and it had this on it. It has gotten bigger since he’s had it (doubled in size in 3 weeks) and we don’t know what it is. Any ideas?

Pretty sure that's just a sponge. My elegance has all sorts of colorful sponges on it, including one that looks just like that.
