I’ve been a long-time reader on the forum and after a 10-year hiatus from the hobby, it was time to start up again with a new build and my largest tank so far.

The project was led by Sam S. of Wet Work who has been an absolute pleasure to work with. His knowledge and expertise has been invaluable in all aspects of planning including equipment selection, designing life support systems, plumbing, electrical and lighting. Sam is also responsible for all aspects of the installation.

The Elos equipment was ordered through Scott G. from Aquarium Specialty who was very helpful with his advice and organizing delivery of the many components.

Reef145 centers around a Custom Built Elos 160 Diamond Line Tank which was special ordered with mitered corners. Many thanks to Nicola G. from Elos who accomodated all of our special requests for the tank and stand.

Super excited to see a build thread for this tank. I really enjoy seeing the thoughtfulness of WetWork's designs.

Neptune Apex going in along with Ecotech drivers and battery backups. Insane amount of wires! Kudos to Sam for an unbelievable job on tidying all of this up and putting it together in such an organized fashion.

Tank looks great. The rock work is very similar or identical (??) to the rock work Sam used on that Beverly Hills custom elos that was recently featured on Reef Builders.

Looks beautiful. Amazing tank.

The tank was up and running in July 2017. Since then, I decided to change directions on the lighting. The Elos Aquatop w. 2 Planet Pros looked spectacular but the lack of data and functionality left me wanting a little more.

I reached out to Wet Work in October for their help in selecting a new fixture and Sam created a beautiful design to house 2 Orphek Atlantik v4's. The design included custom machine parts for the mounting system and a custom acrylic frame from MRC. Here are a couple of pics of design and development process.

While Wet Work was onsite for the lighting install, we also planned to swap the refugium for a Pax Bellum N24 Arid reactor. This also required the use of a separate Ecotech Vectra S1 to get enough flow through the reactors while keeping UV flow at 400+ gph

Thanks for your compliments! It is the same rock work used on that project - the company that makes it is Korallenwelt. They have the ability to make back panels to your tanks exact dimensions including partially wrapping the overflow to conceal it. They also provide branch like structures and other ceramic elements which allow for a lot of flexibility in aquascaping.
