Elos is really nice, but even at 40% off, the Diamond 160 with cabinet is double the cost of a similarly sized Red Sea Reefer (Which includes a sump and all plumbing).

Expensive yes, but the quality is quite a few steps above Red Sea Reefer tanks. I've owned both. Whether or not it's worth it is up to you to decide though.

much more expensive it's true. really true !!!
On the other hand, in Scott's exclusive offer, there is a stainless steel cabinet with a white powder coating finish and a white gloss acrylic lacquered plywood cover.
a double Quiet drain Overflow with the possibility to go to 5000 gal/h and 4 water outlets
I'm not sure red sea offers that... and then we don't talk about the quality of the glass which is absolutely not the same.
But don't worry, the 160 XL pensinsula is no longer available and has found a happy reefer in Alaska.
when the offer it's too much , elos run very fast .. ;)

You’re right, I should see the tanks for myself before comparing them. Red Sea has been my gold standard due to the excellent silicon and low iron glass, but my only other experience has been with petco or LFS made tanks. I did not know there were more ways to improve a glass box— your overflow alone looks insane. I take back what I said :).

Red sea is a beautiful tank no question. But you are comparing Toyota and Ferrari.

After doing more research, I see what you mean. It is not a fair comparison; I thought Red Sea was a Ferrari, but it has been downgraded to BMW!

My next build, when I grow out of the deep 300, will definitely have to be an shallow Elos . Luckily that won’t be for a long time xD

great prices

Interested in the Elos 70 for $1637.00 with free shipping. ( had no idea this was tank ALONE price ) Not understanding the residential delivery fee of $100.00 - if it states free shipping.
Please explain ( thank you )

Then the stand is another $ 790.00 - oh my !!!

Elos delivery is free to a commercial location on our website. Residential delivery costs more than commercial delivery. Rather than charging more for the tanks, we give the customer the option to specify commercial or residential.

They are not on sale at this time. That was a promotion we were running and that ended a long time ago. If you are looking for an Elos tank then I would be happy to help you with it.
