Emerald crab in overflow.

As the title says I just got a new emerald crab. He's really cool but I noticed him climbing the overflow. And as I suspected this morning he has resided inside the overflow. So my question is do I fish him out or I should say go crabbing lol. or let it ride and maybe he will eventually come back out?

Personally I'd be worried he'd make it in the drain pipe, so I'd remove him.
