I just woke up to find one of my hammers looking like it’s completely dead, yesterday it was fine. I’ve had this hammer coral for about a month now. I will provide a picture, any help would be appreciated.

Alk is very high. Needs to come down to 9 or under and slowly.
It needs a balance of white and blue light, moderate water flow and lighting

What is your water change schedule? I agree the alk is high, is it always that level?
Water change- 15 percent every 2 weeks!
Update- just read a thread regarding pistol shrimp attacking corals?!?! Could this be a possibility? I just don’t understand a coral reacting like that to steady parameters overnight. Thanks everyone!

I suppose it could be possible. However it think corals like these tend to hold on for some length of time in less favorable conditions and look like they are doing well. The build up of this I think can look like an overnight change when it was an accumulation effect. Your nitrate and phosphate are very low for doing a small water change every 2 weeks, the water may be nearly sterile. How long has it looked bad? Do you dose amino acids to the tank?
