My favorite fish is the emporer angel and I have a 10+ inch male emporer with streamer , had him for many years tank raised approx a year ago I tried to introduce a juvenile to have a pair , there was relatively scarce info available of successful attempts to keep a pair , some sketchy short term info paring this fish. Needless to say it did notgo well and the larger established male was relentless in his harassment, of the juvenile. Removed in time and sold him/her....

Most of the literature available , reads that basically these fish are solitary, and will only pair up for brief periods during mating then go there separate ways ,... Unlike other angels that can be found in pairs in the wild , French jump to mind .

My question is are there any hobbyists that have kept a pair with long term success plus 2 years ? And can you share their story..?to me the ultimate goal would be to have two adults sharing the same tank.... This seems someware between unlikely and impossible...

I haven't seen a pr, but maybe if the tank is super huge.

One of the main reasons juveniles have different colors is so that they are not viewed as major competition for resources and are more likely to be tolerated.
