I'm facing your prior problem i went postal with kalk in my little tank... And caused an ammonia spike... And then an ALK spike. Built a refugee camp in the big tank before all the Gonis melted. each tank has wrasses, so nudis are out. Shrimp may be keeping it contained. filefish just look dumbly at them and dash for the closest pellet *sigh*

Man. My Filefish was awesome. Problem with Filefish is they'll never truly eradicate aips.
