Yes it did but they would take like 20 hours to complete. It was one percent done after twenty minutes

I have the printer and filament ready to go and built and even printed part of the sample prints but can’t figure out how to do custom designed stuff

Custom design will be some learning effort. For that you have to learn another software . For beginners tinkercad is good. I use blender. Learn how to make basic shapes with fixed dimension with that software (youtube is your best teacher) and then start combining them to make more complex objects.. thats it,

Trust me, designing will take much longer :-) . It takes 3 days to week for me to design something OKish. Printing is mostly few hours.

For Custom Design Stuff... Depends on what you are using... You would have to process it in this order.

1. Design whatever it is you want in whatever 3d Program you use (I Used Sketchup)
2. Export the design in a STL file
3. Slice the STL file in Cura so it is ready to go on the 3D Printer
4. Save the GCode to the Card and insert it into the Printer
5. Find the File name and print

Ok I wasn’t sure if that is a thing that is even possible or not.

You bet it is, if you want me to set you up with something that has the setting dialed in I can do that. But you will have to setup your printer in whatever software you are using for the slicing of the STL file such as Cura.

Hope this helps, its a pretty complex subject so to you will have to do a bit of research. figure out how to level your bed is important. You can do it, just takes a bit of studying and trial and error to get everything dialed in.

You got it :-) . Do it frequently. Its like reef keeping, regular chores are key

You are already off to a great start. Just dont be deterred by failures. From slicing settings to printer configuration to design process, there are many ways thing can get south. Just be patient, take your time, know a baseline where it works, and when things go south start from that known baseline (desigh/printer settings/slicer settings /chores etc), and you should be just fine and learn iteratively. Incremenetally increase your expertise on these three dimensions
- CAD designs
- Printer hardware/chores
- Slicer tunings

You said you have the Ender 3 right? Can I take the SD are out while it’s printing to load more on? Also is there any specific way I need to take it out like from a computer? I got my first print 63% done so far. It’s a box for mushrooms to heal and attach in.

I have never tried that, i would not recommend. If you want test it on small print and see if that works. I think google search should also reveal.
As i mentioned, I used octoprint and rarely use the sd card.

So it would mess up the print not the printer if I took it out? I currently have a print I think I’m gonna cancel because it looks horrible because i was testing some settings

No you cant, the SD card is being read by the 3D Printer on how to print and where to go within that GCode. As far as taking it out from the PC, you "Should" Eject it by either right clicking and eject in My computer but if you dont it has never hurt anything for myself.

Very Nice!! Probably will cost you $1 in plastic and it would have cost $15 in the store!! Its great!

just a little thing. It is like one inch big. And ok that makes sense on taking it in and out I know to not take it from the computer without doing the eject on it. At the moment it’s a $250 dollar mushroom box. It’s fun to play with and make little things though.
