I've obtained an Engineer Goby. Presently it's in my 9g nano cube since it's too small for my 75g (I want to let it grow a bit before moving over).

More research, tells me they are terrible diggers when they get bigger. This got me a bit worried.

My rocks are sitting on my glass, not on the sand. I have maybe about 2" of sand, and a lot of zoas and a clam on the sandbed (I can move the zoas up, no problem).

What are your experiences with these guys? Do they make such a mess that I should be worried? Should I rehome him before I move him to my 75g?

They’ll make like tunnels almost in the sand. They make their caves pretty deep so watch out for that with your rockwork. You should be ok though. They don’t make too much of a mess

Just grow it: Have you ever added CO2 to your reef tank?
