So thanks to a mishap in TTM, I lost my conditioned regal angel due to what I assume was ammonia poisoning during day 3.

The lesson is 40 gallons is not much when you have lots of fish and prime does not necessarily fix the issue. I had poly fiber as well.

The real lesson is to feed lightly and do NOT offer nori as it just pollutes the water fast. The first day they ate it all, so day two I replaced it all. Most of it was still there on day three and the water probably dirtied quickly. I dosed every 12 hours prime.

Anyway guys learn from my mistake.

So here is the new guy- my last regal was probably 5-6". This one is literally 7-8". Freaking enormous with a slight misbar on one side. Pretty fat, and eats anything I throw in there and did after only 24 hours!

Without further adieu, meet Goliath the regal angel:

Very nice! Sorry about the first one, but this one is very pretty. It's cool to get the misbar.

Good news, he is already pigging out!

My last regal (in the "ideal" size range) took months to eat right and consistently!

Amazing fish and good that he eats so well in that short of a time. Good luck!

Fantastic pickup. It will be a stunning addition. As for your wife, tell her to paint herself yellow and add a few blue and white stripes and you'll be good to go :)

Beautiful fish. Hopefully you have him in a bigger tank than 40 gallons. That's really tight quarters.

That's a 55 quarantine. He will go in to a 180
