Love this! The idea and the asthetics of the sustainable long shallow reef. I am definitely excited to see this progress!
So maybe this it a amiture question but is all sand considered sustainable or did you choose these brands specialy for that reason?

Ben, both for aesthetics and the sustainable nature of the source. CaribSea live sand is aquacultured via Garf and the Sea Chem Calcites I'm pretty sure are farmed inland. I put the rest of the substrate in, I'm just waiting for the tank to clear for a picture. :)
