Equipment for Hurricane?

Check your watts/m before you drop money on solar. Figure out what your average is in October and that will give you a good idea if it’s viable for whatever you are trying to power.

Gas generators have the ability to run indefinitely and power all that you need for most tanks, a fridge and other important household things. Solar panels can get damaged by hurricanes too with limbs and debris that might not get cleaned up right away.

Unless you get something like a Tesla power bank, you are looking at hours of run time with charging in between with a portable unit.

If you are in a really hot spot, then large fans like a vornado can keep temps down, but you might need to keep a chiller handy. A gas generator can run a 110v room-sized AC unit that could help too.

Good luck with whatever you choose. It looks like stronger and stronger hurricanes are going to be a way of life moving forward.
