I believe they said it’s plumbed to 1 inch PVC however trying to figure out how to secure that to this bulk head.
As
@Fish Fan pointed out, you will be best-off swapping these bulkhead fittings out for examples which are intended for rigid PVC pipe on the nut side!
In fact, I have a pair of bulkheads which are visually identical to this tank’s examples on-hand… on my examples:
— the smaller 3/4” barb example has a 1-3/8” minimum hole size, likely 1-1/2” hole in the tank bottom!
— the larger 1.25” barb example is a hair over 1-5/8”, likely 1-3/4” hole in the tank bottom!
— you should double-check the listed required hole diameter on bulkheads you buy to guarantee that they will actually fit the existing tank holes…
— I’d recommend schedule 40 bulkheads in this application; they will be a very close fit in 3/4” and 1” plumbing sizes… avoid black ABS bulkheads if at all possible… in a perfect world, bulkheads with a socket on the flange side, and threads on the nut side! (This allows you to actually remove the bulkhead fitting from the tank later without cutting cemented pipes apart!)
Bulkhead selection aside, do you plan to run a single drain on this tank? Or would you be curious about using both bulkheads for a dual drain design, with return plumbing running up the back of the tank?
