Eshopps Aquarium is it real

I went to LFS in Houston and they had a display tank 75 gallon that they said was made by Eshopps. I have never heard of that and they said it was an experiment, has anyone heard of this tank before? 36”x24”x21” and included a white stand.

Apparently, Eshopps did have a 40 gallon cube at a Reefapalooza show last summer but I don't think they actually have a line of reef tanks. It's possible that Dennis ended up with something similar in his store.

He has one of these in the store also but its not for sale. I liked them because they use the clear silicone instead of black I feel its a cleaner look.

Lots of builders will do clear silicone, especially on acrylic tanks.

acrylic doesn’t use silicone to bond. They use weld which basically is melting/fusing the panels.

Yeah not many of the big names do it for some reason.

The "off the rack" builders use black for reef tanks and clear for fresh water. The custom builders will use whatever you want.

eshopps did make some 40g and 75 gallon tanks. they had them at reefapaloza. said they were going to get into the aquarium game on their 20th anniversary but never did i guess. maybe covid i bought one of the 75gal ones 2nd hand the one shown above at the lfs.
