Good evening folks, my name's Adam and I'm extremely new to this hobby.
TLDR: I have an Eshopps AR100 sump and the water isn't spilling over into the filter sock. What could be causing this?
I was gifted an entire fish tank system by a friend and I've been slowly and methodically putting it back together. It's a 60g cube with an Eshopps AR100 sump, Eshopps S-120 skimmer, and a Sicce return pump w/unknown flow rate. I'm new to saltwater but have had freshwater aquariums in the past. My preferred freshwater filtration was always an undergravel powerhead setup. I've plumbed everything up with no leaks (yay!), got the skimmer working again (yay!), and the sump does flow. What I'm running into now is that the first chamber doesn't spill over into the sock but rather only through the refugium chamber. The baffles in this sump are... baffling me. I have a theory that my pump isnt flowing enough through the system and that's why its not spilling over. Pun alert, does this theory hold any water?
Thanks in advance!
