Just started this tank last week and really excited to get it going! Don’t know which direction I am going to go with it yet, just going slow with it right now. Added Tropic Eden sand and Australian live rock. Just have some basic equipment in it to get it cycling and ready, will try to update as I go!

Kraken lid is on order

Equipment that will be transferred from my other tank:

Lighting: 2 Ecotech Radion XR15 Pro G6 and AI 30” grow blade mounted on Radion Rail System

Flow: AI Orbit 4 and Nero 5

Return pump: Simplicity 1600 Dc Pump

Skimmer: Not sure yet, open to recommendations.

Starting to look at livestock for this tank, anyone have any suggestions that they think would look great in here? Reef safe of course!

Lid is here and on! Tank is cycled, just trying to figure out what I want to do and not be too impulsive.

How do you like the tank and sump layout? This tank is one on my list I'm considering as a replacement for my reefer 300. I like the fact the peninsula has the aluminum framed stand.
Love it, I got this one specifically for the aluminum bracing. Everything feels and looks quality. They also have great customer service

Glad to see you got this tank! Looks like we are some of the few builds with the MP100. I still need to get around to posting an update. A lot has changed...

One thing to add about sump layout @exnisstech - because of the way they arranged the chambers on the MP100 the skimmer area is a bit small. It is very manageable but defintely double check ahead of time to make sure you don't have diameter issues.

I’d love to see an update of yours! I’m kind of at a stand still with mine currently, not really sure which direction I want to go with it yet. It does look nice just with the live rock in there to be honest though, haha. Not sure if you’re wanting a lid, but the kraken is very nice, pricey, but it really looks like it was made for the tank and doesn’t stick out.

I want a lid and have been looking at Kraken. It is probably the next purchase.

How do you feel about your flow? I have (2) AI Orbit 2. One is on either side of the overflow. It seems good enough for now on random at 50-75% speed, but it seems a little weak on the far side of tank. I think an upgrade to Orbit 4's may be in the future.

Following along!

I haven’t put my AI pumps in yet, still just have a generic one in there until I decide to transfer everything from my other tank. If I need to I may put like an mp10 or 40 on the other side.

Ran into a few snags with the tank at first, the stand started to sway, not sure of the cause. But I want to give a huge shoutout to Eshopps. They got my new stand and let me pick out a local store to do the tank and stand swap for me and picked up the tab for it 100%, nothing out of my pocket. No hard time or any push back given. The new stand is rock solid so far. I honestly couldn’t recommend Eshopps enough after the help and support they gave me. Seems to be very rare in this industry after reading stories about other manufacturers.

What do you mean by "sway"? Is there anything I should look out for on mine?

When I would clean the glass, I noticed going down the long sides of the glass there was some movement from the stand. I think it was a one off thing and nothing you should be worried about. Every other Mariner owner I’ve talked to said their stand is rock solid.
