On the whole I love my 130. The ball valves took a little more effort to dial in but now they are silent. I hated the socks and ended up cramming a reefmat 500 in its place and have been super happy since. I plan on setting up a proper tank thread this coming weekend.

I went to a some-what local LFS that had the M180 and the MP100 on the show floor. I've been interested in getting the M180 myself and I must say the stand on both tanks feel really good and I like them ALOT better than the IM stand for my SR80. Overall I would say it's super nice and exceeded my expectations.
Great to hear, appreciate the input!

My pleasure-

In my weird head, 5 and 6 foot tanks just look... grand. They have that whoa factor. If I went from my Nyos 70g to a 130, it would double my dosing costs and much of the equipment would need to be upgraded as you know. I do water changes weekly and the maintenance takes a good amount of my time between scrubbing rocks and glass. It would just take too much time that is precious on a weekend.

Another reason I like the stand for the 100 is that it sits higher than my Nyos, and it has leveling feet as well. The top piece also has well padded leveling mat, like a thin yoga mat. I feel like they went above and beyond on the construction.

if I could change anything or suggest anything to Eshopps, it would be to mimmick what Nyos does with their tanks and do an external overflow instead of internal.

Yeah I can imagine maintenance goes up quite a bit. Wish I had room for the external overflow but space is only 26” deep, so the one downside of the EXT is that extra 6” or so for plumbing. But love the thought of the extra space and having the drilled hole up at the top of the tank. Thanks again for the info, super helpful and I think I’m gonna join you with the M100.

Hey all! I'm not sure if everyone on here has seen, but there is an ESHOPPS Mariner Owners Facebook group! Only 6 more members and ESHOPPS is giving away one of their Deskmate tanks.

I have the M100 and the M70 and I love both of them. Plenty of aquascaping room, plumbing is easy to install and operate, stand is solid! I’d get another version if I had room!

Looking at buying an M130, but the seam issue on rimless tanks scares me. Have any of the Mariner tanks had any seam issues?
Nope!

RedSea tanks have a "floating" front glass pane. From my understanding, that is where the seams have a tendency to fail - on the unsupported glass panel.

ESHOPPS Mariner tanks, while very similar, have all 4 panes sitting directly on the stand.

@tbrown here you go! I totally t to get these earlier with my whites on but alas a broken toilet took precedence! 🤦🏻‍♀️

The M70 - my softie/FOWLER, sorta, kinda…got a bunch of RFAs coming

The M100- LPS dominant but still deciding - my Sherman BTA went into hiding last night and it looks like he’s stretching his foot at the back of the tank…do I sense a bundle of joy in the works? 😂😂

Hello everyone, any new pictures show of your Mariner, do share.
I haven't been home since 8am yesterday. I need to clean the glass tomorrow and then I'll try to get a new picture!

Here's a dirty picture, heavy blues picture from Wednesday or Thursday:
