Getting started on my MP100 that will replace my Reefer 300. I couldn't get my reefmat 500 to fit so I made an adapter to run a klir Di7. Not sure why eshopps went with odd rectangle shaped socks. I won't run felt socks because they're such a pita to clean. I prefer to run mesh socks but nothing is available that I could find.

Klir Installed. I also added LED lights with a motion sensor that turns them on when a door is opened.

I'm not a fan of trying to tune an overflow using a ball valve so I added a gate valve. Hint hint @ESHOPPS.INC

I'm starting to make my control panel to hold control units and hide wiring. I'm making it out of white 1/2" hdpe. I hope to have water in the tank within a week or so. I have 35lbs of Gulf live rock plus a bunch of old rubble for the sump. I'll be moving the rock and coral from the 300 so I'm expecting an insta cycle. Light is a meridian 45 since the SPS does well under the photons. I'll also be running a cryptic fuge with a SM surf floating scrubber and tunze 9410 DC skimmer. Jebao DCP 5000 return and two Tunze orca 6075

Will the Reefmat 250 roller fit in the m40 ?

I cant speak to the M100 but on the M180 you can fit a ReefMat 500 without modification. The M180 uses the Eshopps 7 inch rectangle filter sock. If the M100 uses the same then the chamber is probably the same size.

If you want to go to a 1200 #FirstSalt24 has a build thread where he modified a M180 for the 1200.

Any images of the 500 with no mod. I could just fit the roller in but had no room to make any connections. Mine is a peninsula tho (mp100) and the sump layout is different. I was able to make a plate to fit a klir di7 easy enough so I suppose technically it's roller ready ? I'm just not a fan of the klir and I have a 500 already. Im just running a single 7" mesh sock for now because I'm not washing felt socks.

Besides being properly supported. They use German Whacker silicone and have euro bracing

the 180 only is eurobraced. My 100 and the 130 has a bottom interior brace. I am not sure if that is helpful as it is on the inside, but its nice that they do it.
